I'm Sebastian, the founder and designer of Simpül Stool. During my senior year of high school, I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. It turned my world upside down overnight — and the hardest part wasn't just the diagnosis, it was everything that came with it. The pain. The uncertainty. The lifestyle changes. But that was just the beginning of the long journey ahead — how did we even get to the diagnosis? Lots and lots of testing, and it started with stool collections. Duh, duh, duhhhh. That's right, going #2 over and over again in what some might call a barbaric and primitive style plastic bucket, aka the toilet hat.

I didn't know what I was doing, the container was awkward and uncomfortable, and the whole experience made an already difficult time even harder. One day, after I had called it every name other than a stool collector while cleaning up my mess — because let's be honest, it was anything but user friendly — my mom looked at me and said, "Why not just change it?" So I did — and then I took it a few steps further.
